The Jupiter Lighthouse was activated for the 2008 International Lighthouse & Lightship weekend QSO party by members of the LARA club.
We
attached one end of a G5RV antenna to the Lighthouse
(about 100ft up) and secured the other end at a point
about 50 ft above sea level. In addition a "GAP" all band vertical was set up in the clearing adjacent to our operating positions.
We had two canopy tents to cover our gear and
shelter our Ham Radio information table. Plus we
had the protection of a century old Banyan Tree.Results:
